THE BLACK CAUCUS OF CENTRAL OHIO COMMITTEES
The Black Agenda Committee’s task is to develop a community-based political, economic, and educational plan to improve the quality of life for residents in predominately Black populated neighborhoods, communities, and townships. The Black agenda will be the official plan of the Black Caucus of Central Ohio.
The Accountability and Grading Committee’s task is to develop a rating, checking, and scoring system to hold elected, and appointed officials responsible for the implementation of The Black Agenda. Each elected official will be given a grade about their work or lack thereof, on the Black
Agenda. The Black Caucus of Central Ohio will publicize the grades of each elected official.

The Black Political Conference Committee’s task is to organize and implement the Black Political Convention, a community-wide assembly of Black people from the Columbus and Franklin County area, gathering to adopt and ratify declarations originating from the Black Caucus, and resolutions of the Breakout Sessions.

The Black Caucus of Central Ohio is committed to changing the political landscape in Central Ohio because we believe that every person deserves to have their voice heard and their needs represented in government. For too long, Black communities have been underrepresented and marginalized in the political process, leading to systemic inequalities and injustices.
